Honor Your Hometown
Phase Two

Honor Your Hometown has been a wildly successful campaign that has brought together some of America’s most prominent people and institutions to celebrate our hometowns and reached hundreds of millions of people. We are now entering Phase Two, where we will push to create a national holiday, in the spirit of Mother’s Day, to honor our hometowns.

Mississippi becomes first state to endorse HYH

“A Concurrent Resolution designating the last weekend in October, 2023 as “Honor Your Hometown Weekend in Mississippi” to bring attention to rural communities as the culture center of our state and to memorialize the U.S. Congress to designate a “National Hometown Weekend.”

This is Your Hometown

Honor Your Hometown is proud to be partnering with the city of Freehold, N.J. and The Bruce Springsteen Story Center to celebrate America’s hometowns.

“Everything I've learned of deep importance, I learned in this town. You learn most of what makes you who you are, gosh, I don't know, by the time you're 12 maybe. Maybe your teen years. And I had all the usual joy, and the heartbreak of growing up in a small town like this. And, of course, the minute the opportunity arose, I got the hell out, all right? And I suppose the unusual thing was that, moving around the world as I did, all I do is I always came back.”
